Best Eye Make Up Remover

EYE YOU!

The eye area is a sensitive area that requires moisture. In order to prevent wrinkles from forming, it is important to be gentle with the eye area. If your makeup remover is not strong enough, you may end up causing damange by rubbing the skin. You also may want to avoid using harsh ingredients that may leave the surface dry and damaged.

There is a product that will give you smooth, moisturized skin while removing all your eye makeup, even water proof mascara! Meet Bi-Facil, Eye Makeup remover by Lancome. Your most difficult eye makeup will come off effortlessly without tugging or pulling.

Shake the bottle to activate the bi-phase formula. The lipid part of the formula gently removes the eye makeup, while the water phase conditions and refreshes the skin without leaving it greasy.

Compare & Buy Smart

Clean Canvas
Primer Comparison

Always use primer before you apply eyeshadow. Primers usually have a silicone base that creates a smooth surface and preps the eyes for eyeshadow. Eyeshadow will stick to the primer, providing a long lasting look without creasing.

Eye shadow primers are creamy in consistency and come in different colors. You can wear a primer by itself just to get that "awake" look.  Choosing a neutral color will make your eyes look awake and natural.

Stila's new Prime Pot, a waterproof eye shadow primer, glides on smoothly and mimics the eye lid color. Comes in two colors Taffy, a soft beige pink and Caramel, warm tawny beige. Although the creamy texture is good for easy application, you might notice some creasing later in the day.

A primer that does not crease under any condition is Paint Pot by M·A·C. Unlike Stila, M·A·C Paint Pot offers many colors, including black to intensity a bold look. The shade Painterly is neutral and mimics the eye lid color. Though it doesn't go on as creamy as Stila's Prime Pot, it stays on all day and will prevent creasing.

And then there is the much talked about Urban Decay Primer Potion everyone's raving about... Unlike Stila and M·A·C primers above, this one is completely sheer and there is no benefit to wearing it alone. Since it lacks color, it will not provide you with that "awake" look. I also find it too greasy, not creamy like Stila's primer. It will however, keep on your eyeshadow without creasing, if that's all you want out of your primer.

In my opinion, Paint Pot by M·A·C  is definitely the winner out of the three.

If you've got some time in your hands, and you are feeling a bit adventurous, try making your own eye shadow primer in a few easy steps!

You will need:
  • Sample Jar
  • Liquid Concealer
  • Liquid Foundation
  • Unscented Body Butter
  • Toothpick
Steps:

1)Fill half of the jar with liquid concealer and liquid foundation
2) Mix with the toothpick
3) Fill the remainder of the jar with unscented body butter to add thickness

This formula will moisturize and protect you skin while creating a smooth base for your eyeshadow. It will also help your eyeshadow stay on longer and prevent creasing. Make sure to have correct shades of liquid foundation and concealer to create the perfect surface for you eyeshadow.

Shine On
Lipcolor that dazzles with light

For those who are not best friends with lip gloss in general, this will change your mind. Dazzleglass from M.A.C is non-sticky, non-tacky, lightweight and moisturizing. It has tiny sparkles that will enhance your lipstick without overwhelming the look. You can also wear alone for exceptional shine with iridescence. Glitter never looked this classy. There are many colors to choose from, including my favorites: Love Alert, and Baby Sparks. Experimenting with the different colors is a lot of fun! The brush applicator makes the application of the creamy finish easy and effortless. All flavors feature the signature vanilla aroma.
